Mac tips and tricks: how to batch resize photos without extra software

08/03/2010 Francesco Mugnai 11 Comments

Select the images you want to “batch resize”

Open them in “Preview”

Press CMD+A to select all the images

Now from the “Tools” menu choose “Adjust Size…” and change the image dimensions as you prefer (often you will have just to modify the width).

Than remember to “Save All” the images from the menu “File” and you are done!

Thanks for the tip. I Had no idea how to do it like that with preview. Do you know a simple way to do it with a PC? I have to used PS or Irfanviewer currently but its more complex than some of my friends can figure out. Let me know if you have any ideas.. :-) I told em to buy macs.

I have just recently found your blog and absolutely love the
posts. Thank you, thank you. I am still .NET programming but can’t wait to try
these things in Ruby and it is a great help to see such clear examples.
