Designers infographics. Not the best way to show data but they sure are pretty. Form kills function

I like the isometric views, they´re an all time classic. This is really a good overview for students and people who want to know more about infographics. From radial tree maps to info bars, from sunburst to map-based data visualizations. Nice work, you should add more to it, categorize it and put it in a book ;)

Very nicely done indeed.I think listening to your members is key and ACTING on the info they share/provide is also important. Taking their feedback, knowledge etc and doing something with that information..whether that means promoting it so other members can benefit or making changes to how the community is run, features it includes, etc. Certainly you should communicate how you are acting on the info your members provide.Don’t forget that another way to build online community is to leave your own community from time to time and visit others.

Thanks for posting this compilation. I believe that info-graphics are some of the most challenging types of art out there because they must serve a wide audience for multiple purposes.

I would think that the implementation process for info-graphics is pretty intensive, starting with the research process. Researching data is a very lengthy process of retrieving information that takes both time and dedication for pulling efficient and accurate data. The design team must be able to generate a concept and have a strong graphical impact that accurately displays the information in way that is logical, as well as fits with the overall design.

My company, DataJoe http://www.datajoe.com/ works with journal pubs who do the research side of data and data publishing. As a designer, I think it’s always refreshing to look at data in a graphically appealing visual aspect in addition to raw data.
